Mental Health Services Program

Program Goal/Vision:

This program is intended to help provide mental health resources by connecting those who fit our criteria to mental health services within the local community. We have two counselors on our website but would like to expand these services. Eventually the goal is to find resources that KHA USA can contract with in order to provide specific services, such as a counselor or psychologist who specializes in early childhood trauma, or a mental health professional who specializes in working with very young children. We want a plethora of options for people who come to us seeking help so that we can provide the resources they need in the area that they need it. This also means providing services in a Zoom like format and in person services. If someone can not afford to get to and from their in-person appointments KHA can provide transportation through our transportation program or we can provide a room and zoom services on a computer for the person needing mental health services to get their needs met.

Who is this aimed to help:

This program is intended to help provide mental health resources to foster children, their families, social workers within the foster care community and system, along with anyone else who works within the foster care community. This also means biological families of foster children and their foster families.

How do we Verify Need:

All our programs will have a “Verification of Need” Form, specific to the program that is being requested for assistance."
