5K Run/Walk: Foster Care Awareness

May 20, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

The objective of this event is to increase awareness about the foster care system and families, while also fostering community support. To participate, individuals are required to pay a minimal fee, which will cover location rental and staff expenses.

Volunteers play a crucial role in helping to keep costs low. The run/walk event serves as a wonderful platform to recognize and show gratitude to foster care families. We warmly invite you to join us, spread the word, and contribute to the support of foster care awareness month.

Foster Care Awareness: Throughout the event, you can expect to see banners, posters, or information booths that raise awareness about foster care and the challenges faced by foster families and children.

Sense of Achievement: Whether you choose to run or walk, completing a 5k can give you an enthusiastic sense of accomplishment. It is not a race against others; it is about supporting the cause and making a difference.

Post-Event Activities: After the run/walk, there may be post-event activities, such as entertainment, music, or family-friendly games. It is an excellent opportunity to socialize and celebrate the collective efforts to support foster care awareness.

Contributing to a Worthy Cause: Most importantly, by participating, you are contributing to foster care awareness, supporting foster care families, and making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children.
